Sofia Courteilles, Together with Architect Miguel David Pinho, is the head and Art Director of the
ATELIER de CIMA, Lda since 2003 and of TEAM ART, Lda since 2011.

to be found in private and public collections in the USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, United Kingdom, DK, Spain , France and Portugal.
Conception and coordinator in charge for the project “BRINCAR DEVAGAR “ ( Play Slow) at the bookshop – “ LER DEVAGAR “ ( Read slow) – 2000/2003 Lisbon.”

In partnership and in cooperation with the Architect Miguel David Pinho, she implements the Concept of “ARTT IN ARCHITECTURE “.
To include Art in the conceptual Architecture creative process and to assure the presence and integration in the Architectonic space “Indoor” or “Outdoor” is the purpose of this project, which aims to go further and inspire a new approach through artistic and Architectonic reflection and formation.

She was invited, to Design the commemorative “Azulejo “20x20cm, for the Centenary of the ALELUIA Factory Ceramic, S.A.
Since 2002, performing and carrying out Art works based on conceptual themes for national and international Hotel Groups, and conceiving the correspondents’ pieces of Art, with Architect Miguel David Pinho, she presents a new concept about Art for hotels atmosphere . Their work really started in the innovating artistic project in the Mercure Gaia Hotel for the ACCOR/AMORIM Group, 2003.
Linking with the SANA/AZINOR Group, conceptual idea engaged in an extensive work that exploited several art forms and expressions for the EPIC SANA Luanda Hotel, in 2011, by envisioning and achieving an Art project for this group, at Luanda city in Angola.
When this task was accomplished, responding to the SANA group´s request, and relying on the art studies and inquiries they had been doing since 2006, worked through the subject matter of the Art Concept for the Hotel MYRIAD, at Nations Park in Lisbon, Portugal.
And so did the main art work materialize; “WORLD” at the reception, the tile panel “ANYMA” and the art intervention “NAVEGAR É PRECISO… VIVER “(It´s essential to sail… To live) at the hotel atrium. The creative and technical quality of this last one is remarkable, because it is made of five huge pieces, hung from 70 meters high. Others Art interventions can still be found at the Hotel, such as painting in the presidential suite and the in the “Premium “suites, as well as in the rooms.

Her work can be found at “ Azulejos “ work , by drawing Patterns , Prototypes “Azulejos” and “Azulejos “ Series . She also draws custom made “Azulejos” for dwellings and Hotels for instance.
In her artistic work she conceives and achieves pieces especially for glass and resin draws on silk. We can also find graphic design of abbreviations and logotypes. she participated in the contest for the logotype of the Portuguese delegation in the “ Universal Seville exposition 1992”.
